Skating and Event Information
All skates begin at the top of the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art (east side).
You must sign a waiver prior to participation in the skates. Waivers will be distributed before the Friday 7pm and Saturday 10am skates at the hotel and at the art museum. You will also receive a registration packet with details about the evening venues at this time.
* Please note: Sunday skate is starting at 8:30 am to return in time for check-out.

Friday |
3 pm: Early Bird Skate - 10-12 miles, relaxed pace, led by Rocco. Enjoy the flavors of he neighborhoods including our new and improved bike path, Delancey, Broad Street, East Passyunk, Pat's, Geno's, Italian Market, Pine St. (Antique Row), South St., and new path along Columbus Blvd. 7 pm: Kick-Off City Skate - 12 miles, a classic tour of the City of Brotherly Love, hitting all the hip and historic spots with a few new places, led by Doug. Expect an adrenaline-filled pace. 10 pm: For Pete’s Skate - 1 hour after end of 7 pm skate, (approx.) a vigorous 10-12 miles, led by Pete |

Saturday |
10 am: Pony Express Skate - 15 miles, passing through enclaves not always associated with Philadelphia, while heading north to the Polish port town of Port Richmond (think friendly bars, Polish bakeries, and a destination many locals have not even seen), led by Doug. 3 pm: U.S. Freestyle Skating Assn. Slalom Battle - Hotel Parking Lot Jeremy and an international cast of competitors square off on the cones. 5 pm: Beer Skate - 12 easy-going miles, around our Center City cultural landmarks, including yeast cultures, led by Christophe. |

Sunday |
8:30 am: Wild Things Skate* - 12 miles, skate through the Philadelphia Zoo, and beyond to the Japanese House, and St. Joe’s, and, yes, hills, led by Doug & Pete.
*Note: This skate will return in time for the noon checkout. There will be no normally-scheduled 10 am skate. |
